Tein Telecom to install 127 intelligent camera’s in Brussels North

The PolBruno police, covering the municipalities of Schaarbeek, Evere en Sint-Joost-ten-Node, have awarded a new project for the installation of 127 intelligent camera’s to the consortium Tein Telecom – Cegelec. This project is revolutionary for Tein Telecom: not only for its size in an urban environment, but also for the intelligence in all camera’s and the desired integration into the police’s future control centre. All camera’s will be connected through a 16km+ optical fibre network, to be constructed by Cegelec, and wireless transmissions in specific areas has also been offered.
Total project value is 5M (excl. maintenance during the 10-year contract). First camera’s should be operational by mid 2012; the project is expected to be completed by end 2013.
