In order to reinforce our team in the Netherlands, we are looking for a Project Engineer.
2. Responsibilities
You will install and maintain the different products and solutions which our company implements for major customers.
As first project , you will manage, install, commission and maintain an AIS (Automatic Identification System) solution for the maritime traffic, covering all Netherlands. (http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/nl/default.aspx)
You will very quickly take on board the new technologies which we integrate in our global solution and implement large-scale projects. As Project engineer, you will work in close collaboration with the Project Manager.
You report to the Operations Manager.
2.1. Project Based
- Take full technical responsibility for a project in close collaboration with the Project Manager and in respect of the project specifications.
- Participate in Virtual Project Team (VPT) for the designing and engineering of the solution, for proof of concept and demos.
- Prepare future installations in a lab environment and execute tests before delivery.
- Prepare and lead the set-up and the realization of the customer's Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Provide all necessary documentation such as studies, detailed technical designs and As Built documents as required within the scope of the project.
- Install and commission the solution at the customer site.
- Provide User and Administrator training sessions.
- Identify, log, describe, escalate and follow up until resolution all issues arising during project implementation.
- In collaboration with the Pre-Sales department, participate in test setups required for demos, expositions and/ or product validations.
2.1. Maintenance
- Execute first line corrective maintenance 24H/7D on different products and technologies according to the competence matrix of the company and this during an agreed period following project acceptance (Hand over phase to maintenance services).
- Execute second line maintenance after handover to the Customer Services team.
- Identify, log, describe, escalate and follow up until resolution all issues arising during maintenance activities.
- Use the available spares during interventions, return defects to the repair center following the correct internal rules of the company and escalate any issue to manager.
- Update site documentation after intervention (software release, installed base,..).
2.1. Administration

Report about daily activities to manager in order to allow the company to report

Management about Quality of the Service, risks, profitability of projects.

3. Position's requirements
3.1. Education, Knowledge & Work Experience
- HTS with specialisation in telecommunications or ICT.
- Global knowledge of telecommunications/ICT solutions, as implemented by Tein Telecom.
- 3 years professional experience in telecommunications/ ICT.
- Good knowledge of servers environment, Virtualization (VM Ware), Windows servers 2003 and 2008
3.2. Required skills
- Dutch and English.
- Excellent communication skills, open minded, innovative.
- Willing to work in a managed team, to use standards and contribute to team knowledge.
- Able to learn about and assimilate new products and technologies rapidly.
- Pro-active and autonomeous.
